WHAT ARE YOUR CHARACTER'S STRENGTHS?: While he exhibits such traits as determination, perseverance and a strong conviction to his beliefs, Kylo Ren would say his strength is strength itself. His adherence to the Dark Side of the Force and the separation of his attachments show his resolve to follow the will of his leader and mentor, no matter the cost. It shows itself in his merciless endeavors to reach his goals, and even in his disdain for those allied with him, should they prove incompetent.

He shows a great deal of dedication towards bettering himself with regard to his power, deferring to his master when necessary. Ren also shows intelligence in how to put pressure on those he needs to get what he wants from them. It could be the utilization of his Force abilities, fear tactics, even words meant to threaten or promise. He understands an escalation of force when needed, and rarely allows any opponent to gain the upper hand. Along with this cleverness is an incredible memory, able to recall specifics with ease, aiding him in discovering the usurper amongst them. 

WHAT ARE YOUR CHARACTER'S WEAKNESSES?: For all that he is powerful, Kylo Ren has a great deal of emotional weakness. His temper is the most glaring, frustrations and perceived failures are made manifest with great displays of anger and destruction. They tie in well with his fear of inferiority, of failure and losing the power he has gathered by falling to the Light.

His sense of abandonment is an easy culprit that shows why he isolates himself from companionship, and the extent of his ability to work with others is only in a commanding situation, where he maintains control. Ren does also allow his self-confidence to get the better of him at times, leading to him facing a loss where a more careful plan may have landed a win.

WHAT EVENTS OR CIRCUMSTANCES IN YOUR CHARACTER'S PAST HAVE IMPACTED THEM THE MOST?:

• Growing up the son of two highly visible figures within a revolution left young Ben Solo without a normal childhood. With parents who relegated their attention to other responsibilities outside of rearing a child, Ben frequently felt abandoned and alone. Combined with being Force-sensitive, yet unaware of his family history gave him a sense of isolation. It was until he was a young adult that he came to train with his uncle in the ways of the Force.
• This emotional vulnerability paired with his lineage attracted the attention of an entity known as Snoke, who preyed upon Ben's feelings of abandonment and seduced him to the Dark Side. From there, Ben turned against his uncle Luke and destroyed all that he had built, including the other Jedi apprentices. From there, he left his family and fell under the tutelage of Snoke.
• When he captured Rey (who seemed a simple scavenger that had caught the attention of his estranged father) to interrogate her for the whereabouts of his former master, Luke Skywalker, he found that she too, was Force-sensitive -- that she was powerful enough without training to not only resist his attempts to invade her mind, but turn it around on him and draw out his own insecurities and worries that he would never be as great as his grandfather, Darth Vader. This left him with a great deal of anger and self-doubt, pushing him to try and prove himself.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOUR CHARACTER?: Simply put, power. Kylo Ren, above all else, strives to fully embrace the Dark Side, by any means necessary. To facilitate that, he works his master's agenda, eager to both prove himself and please Snoke. To Kylo Ren, very little else seems to matter.

WHAT IMPRESSION DO OTHERS TEND TO HAVE OF YOUR CHARACTER?: To some, Kylo Ren is something to be feared, as his power is remarkable and occasionally unrestrained. Others find him irritating with his sardonic wit and disrespectful attitude. Overall, Ren is not particularly easy going and therefore seems either distant or openly hostile.

IN WHAT WAYS DOES THAT IMPRESSION DIFFER FROM WHO YOUR CHARACTER REALLY IS?: Beneath it all, Ren is a stunted child with a great deal of emotional issues. His desire to please and be recognized is all too apparent, but frequently ignored in favor of his explosive temper tantrums. He visibly struggles with who he is and who he thinks he should be, as the two sometimes seem at odds.

HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE CRISIS OR ADVERSITY?: With marked aggression. Whether focused on his enemy or inanimate objects in a vicious temper tantrum, his go-to emotion is anger, as befitting one who follows the Dark Side.

WHICH 5 THINGS WILL YOUR CHARACTER REMEMBER UPON ARRIVAL, AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THEM?:

• Being from space.
• Being estranged from his family.
• Having mysterious powers but not knowing their name.
• Being associated with a military organization.
• Being adept with a plasma sword (lightsaber).

These were chosen to give Ren an idea that he doesn't quite belong and a point of reference that he's intended for something greater.

Skills/Abilities: 

• Force user: Telekinetic powers that are strong enough to stop a bolt of pure energy as well as move and restrain objects. Additionally is capable of rendering people unconscious and has telepathic powers that he can use to read minds regardless of whether subject is willing. This seems to include forcing memory recollection, so that he can parse through whatever information is needed. Typically, Force users are capable of also influencing thought, and controlling people to do their will. This can be manifested in both physical and mental compliance. As Ren is a follower of the Dark side of the Force, his power comes from hate, pain and aggression, as opposed to the Light side, which is characterized by tranquility and the desire to protect.
• Lightsaber combat: Adept at utilizing a lightsaber to devastating degree.

Weaknesses:

• Ren is still human, and therefore, if caught off guard, is just as vulnerable as any mortal.
